But wait, what if you already know you want a big city wedding right in the middle of Indianapolis? Well then, you should check out last month’s blog here for a list of beautiful church venues!

Central Indiana

Bottleworks Hotel

850 Massachusetts Ave.

Indianapolis, IN 26204

Getting married is a huge part of the history of your relationship, so why not have your wedding in a piece of Indianapolis’ history? As far as Indiana wedding venues go, this one is in its infancy — having only been in operation since summer 2021. However, the space itself was constructed in 1931 and despite suffering through the Great Depression is still widely known as one of the most beautiful Coca-Cola complexes ever built. After its main addition in 1949, this Art Deco masterpiece also became the largest Coca-Cola bottling plant in the world.

All of this history comes right to you in all of their spaces! If you’re looking to impress your small guest count, The Lab might just be the perfect choice for you! Featuring green floor-to-ceiling ceramic tiles, mid-century modern chandeliers, and nearly 600 square feet of space, this area was once where all of Coca-Cola’s newest recipes were developed and tasted.

If you need more space for your guests, then check out the Samuelson Room, a nearly 1,200 square foot multi-function space that holds up to 88 people. The Samuelson Room, named after Alexander Samuelson who designed Coca-Cola’s iconic contour bottle, is also conveniently connected to the Club Room. This cozy pre-function area features dark wood accents and stylish seating where once sat the bottling company’s drawing-room.

Need more space still? Why not enjoy a lavish outdoor ceremony in the Gallery Courtyard then? Follow that up with an energy-filled reception and you’ve got the perfect place for a summer wedding. However, if you’re caught with rain on your wedding day, then just pop inside to The Library for an elegant sit-down dinner surrounded by dark wood bookshelves. Bottlework’s largest indoor space, coming in at just over 1,600 square feet, is ready to host your guests in style at this Coca-Cola bottling plant turned Indiana wedding venue.

The Sycamore Winery

1320 Durkee’s Ferry Rd.

West Terre Haute, IN 47885

The Sycamore Winery for Indiana wedding venues

I don’t know how to stress this enough, but I am *in love* with this Indiana wedding venue! The winery is located on 60 acres and is still only 10 minutes from downtown Terre Haute. So, while you’re sitting in front of the massive windows in their tasting room looking out over two gorgeous lakes and several walking trails, you can rest assured that every city amenity is just a short jaunt away!

Picture this: a 4,000 square foot barn with exposed wood beams, polished concrete floors, and a massive fireplace nestled in an Indiana wedding venue. Sounds like heaven, doesn’t it? Well, luckily for you, this space is available to be your perfect rustic-chic venue!

Up to 200 guests can be seated for your reception in The White Barn, with your head table nestled in front of the fireplace to make sure you’re warm throughout dinner and toasts. After sipping some of their signature wines or enjoying a beer from Big Leaf Brewing, it’s time to dance the night away!

What’s that? You’re looking for an outdoor venue? Then it’s time to check out The Grounds! With that 60-acre estate I mentioned earlier, there’s plenty of room to host an outdoor ceremony. Then, hop over to the terrace for cocktail hour before jumping under the tent to eat, drink, and be married! Wrap up the night with a tranquil walk around the grounds and then curl up next to a secluded lakeside fire pit for the perfect end to the perfect day at this Indiana wedding venue.

Artisan Acres Estate

1503 N. 10th St.

Noblesville, IN 46060

Indiana wedding venues of Artisan Acres Estate

Inspired by the historic barns of Europe, this Indiana wedding venue feels like no other barn venue. Where others lack natural light, this Rural Gothic barn venue features stained glass. The typical wood plank flooring is replaced by a Civil War-era pairing bone brick floor. The flat grain fields are non-existent, and instead, you’ll find wooded seclusion, a fragrant lavender field, and colorful dahlia gardens. Your attached outdoor space is a covered awning featuring grand chandeliers. That’s right, chandeliers — outside!

If unique is the name of your game, this is the Indiana wedding venue for you. Take a stroll down the fairytale-esque Winding Wooded Path before your ceremony. Say “I do” on The Roundabout Patio that boasts hand-laid antique bricks, in the Outdoor Ballroom surrounded by reclaimed cast iron fencing, amongst the centuries-old white oaks that cover the property, or in the barn itself as it scatters radiant light across the aisle from its stained glass windows. Then, grab a drink at the Petit Grain Dispensary Bar, food at a Ritz Charles food truck, and dance the night away under the chandeliers, twinkle lights, or the stars themselves. To quote this Indiana wedding venue, “step into our storybook… and make it yours.”

The Barker Mansion

631 Washington St.

Michigan City, IN 46360

The Barker Mansion

Start your hunt for the perfect Indiana wedding venue by indulging in ‘Tea at The Mansion,’ a cozy event in the gardens featuring tea, pastries, and live musicians.

After tea, it’s time to meet with their event coordinator and discuss how they go above and beyond to accommodate your intimate wedding. Starting in their largest space, the gardens, they’ll be able to paint a picture of how your 5-70 guests can celebrate your big day with you in luxury.

Their holiday decor is to die for, so if a winter wedding ceremony and reception indoors is more your speed, you have the option of two interior spaces, both seating up to 40 guests.

As you venture through this 35,000 square foot, 38 room mansion, you’ll be impressed at every turn by the nearly entirely original interior.

First constructed in 1857 before being expanded in both 1899 and 1909, this sprawling estate will keep your guests gushing over your wedding for years to come.

The Armory

727 S. Eddy St.

South Bend, IN

The Armory for Indiana wedding venues

Located in the heart of South Bend, this Indiana wedding venue is all about convenience! Renting The Armory means 12 hours of access, the capacity for up to 400 guests, and wedding planning services included. They also handle furniture, linens, place settings, dinner, liquor, set up, and clean up so that you don’t have to worry about anything except saying “I do” on your big day.

Originally an armory in the 1920s, this space features exposed brick walls, hardwood floors, a vaulted timber ceiling, and huge chandeliers in its main space. What was once a shooting range is now Iron Hand Winery attached to the event space and features one of the most romantic views of the St. Joseph River in South Bend. Did I mention that there’s a winery *attached* to your reception area?

Add in their expansive bar, and I have no doubt that your guests will love wining, dining, and dancing the night away!

Baker Street Station

221 W. Baker St.

Fort Wayne, IN 46802

Baker Street Station

If words like “elaborately buttressed corners,” “parapeted gables,” and “terrazzo” excite you, then I’ve got the perfect Indiana wedding venue for you! Baker Street Station, formerly Pennsylvania Station, is an architectural marvel by William L. Price.

The barrel-vaulted concourse is the station’s primary event space and features green-veined marble floors, deep oak woodwork around doors and windows, and bronze electrolier lamps on every wall. Besides being an astounding blend of classical and medieval elements, Baker Street Station played a huge part in making Fort Wayne what it is today.

Opened in 1914, the station hit its peak during World War II when roughly 3,000 passengers passed through its doors each day. Every U.S. presidential candidate from Harding to Eisenhower stopped at this iconic station to make campaign speeches. How many people can say they got married where U.S. presidents once addressed crowds of thousands?

The North Church Venue

400 E. North St.

Muncie, IN 47305

The North Church Venue

Absolutely enchanting stain glass windows, gorgeous vaulted ceilings, and quite the history to boot; this Indiana wedding venue will leave you and your guests in awe! With most of its original architecture intact, the North Church Venue was revitalized in 2019 and opened up for bookings in 2021. You can really see the amount of love and care that went into breathing new life into this historic church!

The miraculous transformation of this Indiana wedding venue makes it among my favorites! Originally established as the First Christian Church in 1903, over time it was heavily blighted by vandalism and mother nature herself. Just as the city was losing hope for this historic building to ever return to its former glory, a bold family took on the renovation! From that, the North Church Venue rose like a Pheonix from the ashes. With a stunning Victorian Gothic feel, the building displays its masterful craftsmanship while also bearing its scars in an elegant and refined way. With gorgeous exposed brick walls, an open floor plan, and a beautiful garden outside, it creates ample opportunity for some absolutely stunning wedding pictures! Maybe you can even take a ride on the rope swing at the altar!

With the beauty of golden hour shining through to their sanctuary; it’s almost like a fairy tale. There isn’t another Indiana wedding venue that makes you feel as royal as Cinderella than the North Church Venue!

Old Post Office

2200 NW 2nd St

Evansville, IN

Celebrate Evansville – Old Post Office

Old Post Office

Known as Evansville’s most treasured landmark, I am in absolute awe of this Indiana Wedding Venue! The prime example of Richardsonian Romanesque-style architecture, the Old Post Office was built in 1879 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. It only recently was meticulously renovated in 2011 to include a banquet hall for your special day!

With its stoic round arches, elegant limestone masonry, and gorgeous chapel-like windows; it feels like a castle fit for true royalty! Its marble floors are an excellent backdrop for all your wedding photos, as well as serving as an excellent dance floor for over 300 of your friends and family!

A lot of the gorgeous elements that you see at this Indiana Wedding Venue are refurbished from the original building! The rustic columns in the banquet halls were once buried in the walls that had been added over the years. It’s truly a historic experience here!
